August 2026 Update:

I have some unfortunate news regarding insurance. While we are actively working to expand insurance coverage for patients, joining an insurance network isn’t always as simple as just asking to participate.

-We requested to join Anthem. At this time, Anthem has indicated that their existing provider network is sufficient and it is not adding our practice to the network. We are in the process of appealing.

-We have also requested to join Aetna. Aetna has informed us they will not contract with an independently owned nurse practitioner practice unless a physician is also credentialed under the practice’s TIN. DMC is a private practice owned by a nurse practitioner. Per PA state law DMC has 2 collaborating physicians but they are not under our TIN. We are currently considering other options.

We want to be transparent about this because we know how frustrating it is to find a provider who specializes in dysautonomia— only to discover your insurance considers that provider out of network.

We are not excluding Anthem or Aetna patients and we welcome the opportunity to participate in both networks. We are also pursuing other contracts such as medicaid and Capital. Cash pay visits will continue to be available with the rates listed here and the opportunity to seek reimbursement from your insurance plan.

We will continue to provide updates as we get them. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding and we look forward to caring for you as soon as possible.

August 2026 Update:

We are now in network with CareFirst, Cigna, Highmark, Medicare, Tricare and UHC. Still working on a few others and cash pay visits are still an option. I will send appointment links in batches and try to give the people who have been waiting the longest the first opportunities. I have a long list but if you need a link feel free to reach out. We are thrilled to finally offer our services to more of you. Thanks so much for your patience and we’ll see you soon.

August 2026 Update:

Starting the week of August 3 we are taking in person visits at our new office. If you’re looking for an in person visit, this is your opportunity. All virtual visits on those days will be honored as such. If you wish to change your visit to in person or reschedule your virtual visit you may do so on your portal or email us for help. We are so excited to begin this next chapter of our clinic and we look forward to serving you all soon.

July 2026 Update:

We have been overwhelmed by the response to Dysautonomia Management Center, and we are incredibly grateful for the interest and patience everyone has shown.

To make scheduling more efficient, we have updated our intake process. Rather than completing intake paperwork before scheduling, patients will now receive their appointment link first. Once an appointment is scheduled, our intake forms will automatically be sent for completion prior to the visit.

Appointment invitations are being sent in small batches in the order patients joined our waitlist. This allows us to gradually onboard new patients while ensuring each person receives the time and attention they deserve.

At this time, we are scheduling patients who indicated they are willing to pay cash while we continue waiting for insurance credentialing to be finalized. Insurance credentialing is a lengthy process, and each insurance company has its own timeline. As we become credentialed with additional insurance plans, we will post updates here and begin sending scheduling invitations to those patients.

Our goal has always been to make this process as fair as possible. While we strive to invite patients in the order they joined our waitlist, there are times when insurance participation and other logistical factors require some flexibility. We appreciate your understanding as we work to build a practice that will serve this community for many years to come.

A great many of you indicated you wished for more information on cash pay. Please see our page marked Cash Pay Rates for more information. If you still have questions do not hesitate to reach out at Inquiry@potsmedicalcenter.com. We will also begin sending scheduling invitations to patients who requested additional information about our cash-pay options. If you would like to schedule a cash-pay appointment, you are welcome to do so. If you prefer to wait until we accept your insurance, simply save your scheduling link. No further action is required and you will not lose your place on the list.

Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding and support, and we look forward to the chance to serve you all.

Warmest Regards,
