We are currently in network with CareFirst, Cigna, Medicare, Tricare, Highmark and UHC, and Medicaid in Pennsylvania and Virginia. We are working on Medicaid in Maryland as well as Anthem, Aetna, and more. Updates will be posted here and on our Facebook page. Coverage and benefits vary by individual plan, and being in network does not guarantee that a particular service will be covered.

Elizabeth is licensed in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Ohio. She fully understands how difficult long drives can be on her patients and she is happy to provide telehealth visits whenever possible. You must be physically present in one of those four states during the telehealth visit. If you want an in-person visit, they are certainly available at our Stewartstown office. If an in-person evaluation becomes clinically necessary, this will be discussed with you. We are happy to send prescriptions, lab orders or other referrals to offices that are local to you.

You do not need a diagnosis of dysautonomia to make an appointment. Our patients are at all levels, from those who have had symptoms for a while to those who have been diagnosed for years. Elizabeth is able to evaluate you in a visit and give a clinical diagnosis when applicable. Standard diagnostic tests such as tilt table testing can be difficult to find and waiting times are extensive so we do not require them before your initial evaluation.
-
If you’ve been previously diagnosed by another provider, Elizabeth will review your history and previous testing and, in most cases, will not require testing to be repeated simply to reconfirm an established diagnosis. Additional or repeat testing may occasionally be recommended when clinically appropriate.

If you have an extensive medical history, all we really need are your most recent visit notes, lab work, medication history or any diagnostic tests you had done. If you are coming from Johns Hopkins, please just send your most recent visit note. You can send them as a message in the portal.

Please don’t get too anxious about the appointment type. We use the different types to help us understand where you are in your experience with this condition. As for how long should your appointment be, it depends on your situation. Two hour appointments are for new patients who need extensive education or evaluation or for patients whose symptoms are not well managed. Thirty minute visits are for patients who just want a quick check up, and vist times increase at 30 minute intervals depending how much time you think you’ll need. Some people run over, some don’t take it all. These conditions don’t have a time clock.
